Identity: Are you in crisis, or are you solidified in who you are?!

In Genesis 1:26-27, readers see solid scriptural evidence that all of our identities (the entirety of humanity) have been predetermined, shaped, and formed by Elohim (God the creator). Therefore, it can be reasonably concluded that identity crisis was never in the plans of God for our lives. Why? Because God himself is "integral," meaning WHOLE & UNDIVIDED!

What, then, are some of the characteristics that accompany God's identity that have been granted to humanity wholly or in part to some degree? Kindness, truthfulness, the ability to love unconditionally, and the list goes on...

Based on these identity characteristics, the Holy Scriptures provides the framework by which those characteristics can thrive, but we are also made aware of the consequences when when we don't follow scriptural principles. This then provides robust opportunities to exercise our "free will."

Although, "free will" presents the opportunity to make choices and decisions without restraint or hindrance... we should never choose or decide apart from God's wisdom & assistance. Proverbs 3:5 (KJV) says, "...lean not to thine own understanding." That verse can be considered a warning of some sort that should be paid attention to. All human knowledge, understanding, and wisdom are frail at best, apart from God, due to the fallen nature that resulted from the events in Genesis 3.

The only sure way to be solidified in your identity as one of God's most prized creations is to live in intentional alignment with the Holy Scriptures without wavering or rebelling, which are entry points for identity crisis to begin construction.
