In moments trouble remember you serve a very present God. Matthew 5:4 " Blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted." When reading this verse it reminds us that sadness or feelings anxious does not last forever. There is an exchange that can take place, if you allow it. When you confess whatever it is you're facing that is an act of giving it to God. Once you give those things that burden you he thyme gives you his peace. And in this peace there is a sense of comfort.
Oftentimes we remain in the period of mourning too long. Now the reason for that is vast. Maybe you feel that whatever you're facing is too small or unimportant for God to handle; so instead of leaning on God you keep it to yourself. Maybe you don't think God will comfort, but according to his word he is near to the brokenhearted, Psalms 34:18 "The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed."
We must remember God's promises in every situation of our lives so we are not caught up in the devil's lies.
